I come from Coweta County.
The Hammett family has been a part of Coweta County since before the Civil War. My grandfather was a tenant farmer who grew cotton. My father served as Sheriff from '85-'93. My mother's side of the family owned and operated Hall's Grocery on Fischer Road, which was established in the 1860s.
I was born in Coweta in 1996. I went to elementary school at Canongate. I went to middle school at Madras. I went to high school at Northgate. I was saved at White Oak First Baptist Church on Highway 34, and I was subsequently Baptized there by my cousin Tim. I now attend Hope Memorial Baptist Church on Fischer Road.
I got my Bachelors in History and a Minor in Political Science from the University of West Georgia, and I went on to Emory University School of Law, where I graduated in 2022. While there, I met some of the brightest minds in the legal field. Thanks to the excellence of my professors, I went on to take and pass the Georgia Bar Exam on the very first try in February of 2023.
Many of my classmates at Emory asked me why I wanted to stay in Coweta and start my own firm instead of getting a job at a big firm in Atlanta. The reason is simple: I love Coweta, and I love the folks of Coweta even more. My greatest ambition as an attorney is to provide good legal services to my friends, family, and neighbors at a reasonable rate. I hope that you'll let me serve you!
